tvOS 11 beta 2 a fost lansat de Apple pentru dezvoltatorii de aplicații înscriși pe platforma Apple Developer Center. Noua versiune de prelansare a sistemului de operare pentru Apple TV generația a 4-a sosește la aproximativ două săptămâni distanță de tvOS 11 beta 1.

Deși este considerată a fi o actualizare majoră pentru Apple TV, tvOS 11 nu s-a bucurat deloc de atenția Apple la WWDC 2017. Cu toate acestea, ea există și introduce în sistemul de operare câteva caracteristici noi. Potrivit notițelor lansării, tvOS 11 include comutare automată între modul luminos și cel întunecos, în funcție de ora locală, aduce posibilitatea de a sincroniza ecranul principal cu alte dispozitive Apple TV conectate la același cont, oferă noi moduri de fundal, acceptă notificări, îmbunătățește API-urile și Administreare Dispozitive Mobile, permite asocierea automată a căștilor AirPods, acceptă sunete personalizate și introduce compatibilitate pentru asocierea și dezvoltarea bazată pe rețea.

Alături de cele anunțate deja, pe parcursul perioadei de testare a tvOS 11, Apple va mai modifica ușor anumite caracteristici și le va îmbunătăți pe cele noi. Deocamdată nu sunt cunoscute noutățile din tvOS 11 beta 2, însă de îndată ce ele vor fi semnalate de către dezvoltatori, noi vom actualiza acest articol pentru a vi le prezenta.

tvOS 11 beta 2 are numărul de build 15J5310e și poate fi instalat pe toate dispozitivele Apple TV 4 din Configurări > Sistem > Actualizări software > Actualizați software-ul > Actualizați de către dezvoltatorii înscriși pe Apple Developer Center (cu condiția să fi descărcat deja profilul de dezvoltator pe dispozitivul pe care doresc să îl actualizeze). Dezvoltatorii care instalează pentru prima dată tvOS 11 beta pe Apple TV-urile lor trebuie să știe că procesul implică folosirea unui cablu USB-C la USB-A, pentru a conecta Apple TV-ul la computer, și descărcarea noului software de pe Apple Developer Center și instalarea sa prin intermediul iTunes sau Apple Configurator.

O versiune beta publică a tvOS 11 nu este deocamdată disponibilă, însă ar putea sosi la finele săptămânii în curs sau săptămâna viitoare pe dispozitivele utilizatorilor înscriși în Apple Software Beta (de altfel, Apple a promis că tvOS 11 este prima actualizare de tvOS care va putea fi testată și de dezvoltatori).

Împreună cu tvOS 11 beta 2, dezvoltatorii mai pot descărca de pe portalul Apple și watchOS 4 beta 2, macOS High Sierra beta 2, iOS 11 beta 2 și Xcode 9 beta 2 (build 9M137d) – cea mai recentă versiune a mediului de dezvoltare integrat, care include, printre altele, Swift 4 și SDK-urile și API-urile iOS 11 / tvOS 11 / watchOS 4 / macOS High Sierra 10.13.

• Added support for HTTP brotli content encoding to URLSession. By default, HTTP requests contain a br value (in addition to gzip and deflate) for the Accept-Encoding HTTP header, informing the web server that the user agent supports brotli encoding. The web server can send an HTTP body with Content-Encoding: br in the HTTP header to indicate that the content is brotli-encoded. URLSession automatically decompresses the HTTP body data and passes the decoded data back to the client in the same way it does for Content-Encoding: gzip.
