Respectând promisiunea făcută la începutul lunii în curs, compania Apple a emis marți seara un comunicat de presă în cadrul căruia anunță rezultatele fiscale pe trimestrul 2 (perioada aprilie-iunie) al anului fiscal 2015 (trimestrul 3 al anului fiscal 2015 în SUA). Așa cum era de așteptat, nu doar dacă ne uitam la previziunile analiștilor de pe Wall Street, trimestrul în care Apple a lansat o serie de produse noi a stabilit noi recorduri în ceea ce privește cifra de afaceri a companiei americane, profitul și vânzările de dispozitive.

Potrivit comunicatului (pe care îl puteți citi mai jos), cifra de afaceri a companiei Apple pe primul trimestru al anului 2015 a fost de 49,6 miliarde de dolari, mai mare cu 12,2 miliarde $ față de cea din același trimestru al anului 2014 (37,4 miliarde de dolari) și mult mai mare decât preconizau americanii în cadrul ghidajului trimestrial anunțat în urmă cu 3 luni (46-48 miliarde de dolari). Profitul companiei pe trimestrul aprilie-iunie a fost de10,7aaaaa miliarde de dolari sau 1,85$ pe acțiune, fiind mult mai mare decât profitul de 7,7 miliarde de dolari din același trimestru de anul trecut. Marja brută în perioada menționată anterior a fost de 39,7 procente, fiind mai mare decât cele 39,4 procente înregistrate în 2014.

Ca de obicei, compania Apple dezvăluit și totalul vânzărilor pentru principalii generatori de venituri. Astfel, americanii raportează vânzarea a 47,5 milioane de dispozitive iPhone, 10,9 milioane de iPad-uri și 4,8 milioane de Mac-uri. În aceeași perioadă a anului trecut, gigantul din Cupertino comercializa 35,2 milioane de dispozitive iPhone, 13,2 milioane de tablete iPad și 4,4 milioane de Mac-uri. Observăm, așadar, că vânzarile de iPhone au înregistrat din nou o creșere de vânzări anuală, vânzarile de iPad o scădere destul de însemnată (pentru al șaselea trimestru fiscal consecutiv), iar Mac-urile o nouă creștere anuală. Toate cifrele prezentate acum de Apple depășesc previziunile analiștilor de pe Wall Street, un lucru ce nu ne mai poate surprinde cu nimic.

Potrivit directorului economic al companiei americane, în trimestrul doi al anului curent creșterea anuală a veniturilor și câștigurilor a crescut cu 33%, respectiv 45% comparativ cu trimestrul anterior. Mai mult, Luca Maestri susține că Apple a generat un flux financiar de 15 miliarde de dolari în această perioadă și a rambursat peste 13 miliarde de dolari către investitori prin programul de rambursare a capitalului. Ținând cont de rezultatele din acest trimestru, oficialul Apple anunță plata unor dividende către acționari în valoare de 0,52$ pe acțiune.

Compania din Cupertino se așteaptă ca în trimestrul fiscal curent (perioada iulie-septembrie) să aibă încasări cuprinse între 49 de miliarde de dolari și 51 miliarde de dolari, o marjă brută cuprinsă între 38,5 și 39,5 de procente, costuri de operațiuni cuprinse între 5,85 miliarde $ și 5,95 miliarde $ și alte cheltuieli sau încasări de 400 milioane de $.

Apple Reports Record Third Quarter Results

iPhone, Apple Watch, Mac & App Store Drive Revenue Growth of 33%

CUPERTINO, California — July 21, 2015 — Apple® today announced financial results for its fiscal 2015 third quarter ended June 27, 2015. The Company posted quarterly revenue of $49.6 billion and quarterly net profit of $10.7 billion, or $1.85 per diluted share. These results compare to revenue of $37.4 billion and net profit of $7.7 billion, or $1.28 per diluted share, in the year-ago quarter. Gross margin was 39.7 percent compared to 39.4 percent in the year-ago quarter. International sales accounted for 64 percent of the quarter’s revenue.

The growth was fueled by record third quarter sales of iPhone® and Mac®, all-time record revenue from services and the successful launch of Apple Watch™.

“We had an amazing quarter, with iPhone revenue up 59 percent over last year, strong sales of Mac, all-time record revenue from services, driven by the App Store, and a great start for Apple Watch,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “The excitement for Apple Music has been incredible, and we’re looking forward to releasing iOS 9, OS X El Capitan and watchOS 2 to customers in the fall.”

“In the third quarter our year-over-year growth rate accelerated from the first half of fiscal 2015, with revenue up 33 percent and earnings per share up 45 percent,” said Luca Maestri, Apple’s CFO. “We generated very strong operating cash flow of $15 billion, and we returned over $13 billion to shareholders through our capital return program.”

Apple is providing the following guidance for its fiscal 2015 fourth quarter:

  • revenue between $49 billion and $51 billion
  • gross margin between 38.5 percent and 39.5 percent
  • operating expenses between $5.85 billion and $5.95 billion
  • other income/(expense) of $400 million
  • tax rate of 26.3 percent

Apple’s board of directors has declared a cash dividend of $.52 per share of the Company’s common stock. The dividend is payable on August 13, 2015, to shareholders of record as of the close of business on August 10, 2015.
