In urma cu cateva minute compania Apple a anuntat locul si perioada in care se va desfasura Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2014). Incepand cu 2 iunie, pe o perioada de 5 zile, dezvoltatorii, care vor obtine un bilet la conferinta anuala, vor putea sa participe la multiplele conferinte tematice, precum si sa primeasca raspunsuri la intrebari de la expertii companiei din Cupertino. Si anul acesta Centrul Moscone West din San Francisco va gazdui conferinta la care vor participa mii de dezvoltatori, acesta fiind cel mai mare loc pe care compania Apple il gaseste potrivit pentru eveniment.
Compania americana a anuntat o premiera pentru evenimentul de anul acesta, iar ea va fi pe placul dezvoltatorilor. Pentru ca anul trecut biletele la eveniment s-au epuizat in mai putin de doua minute de la punerea lor in vanzare, cei de la Apple au ales sa creeze acum un sistem de loterie in care orice dezvoltator interesat poate aplica pentru un bilet la eveniment, iar la final vor fi alesi, in ordine aleatorie, toti cei carora le vor fi vandute biletele. Pretul unui bilet este de 1.599 de dolari. Perioada in care poti aplica pentru un bilet la WWDC 2014, daca esti dezvoltator de aplicatii si ai achizitionat unul din programele platite (iOS sau OS X), este 3-7 aprilie, deci incepand de acum si pana luni poti sa incerci sa prinzi un loc la conferinta anuala. La fel ca si in anii trecuti, Apple ofera bilete gratuite la conferinta pentru 200 de studenti selectati automat.
Cel mai important aspect al evenimentului, pentru utilizatorii de Mac, iPhone, iPad si iPod touch, din intreaga lume este acela ca in cadrul conferintei principale, care are loc, de regula, in prima zi a evenimentului, sunt prezentate noile versiuni majore ale sistemelor de operare iOS si OS X, precum si cateva produse noi. Asadar, anul acesta, pe 2 iunie, urmeaza sa fie prezentate noi modele de Mac, iOS 8 si OS X 10.10, fiind posibil ca Apple sa pregateasca si alte surprize pentru marele eveniment. In ceea ce priveste produsele care ar putea fi lansate, ei bine pana acum stim ca Apple ne pregateste un nou model de MacBook Air, cu ecran Retina, un Apple TV si este posibil, daca visam putin, sa fie prezentat iWatch, ceasul inteligent asteptat de o lume intreaga.
Pentru dezvoltatorii care participa la eveniment, precum si pentru ceilalti (deoarece, si anul acesta vor putea fi urmarite inregistrarile video ale fiecarei sesiuni), Apple face o prezentare succinta a tuturor sesiunilor. Astfel, anul acesta sesiunile de la WWDC vor acoperi designul, framework-urile pentru aplicatii, serviciile, localizarea si miscarea, partea grafica si jocurile, media, Core OS, si instrumentele si performanta.

Developers Can Apply for WWDC Tickets Starting Today
CUPERTINO, California—April 3, 2014—Apple® today announced that it will hold its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) June 2 through June 6 at San Francisco’s Moscone West. At this year’s five-day conference, developers from around the world will learn about the future of iOS and OS X®, giving them the latest tools and technologies to continue creating the most innovative apps for the millions of iOS and Mac® customers worldwide. WWDC will feature more than 100 technical sessions, over 1,000 Apple engineers, hands-on labs to help developers integrate new technologies and fine tune their apps, as well as the Apple Design Awards which showcase the best apps from the past year.
Developers can apply for tickets via the WWDC website (developer.apple.com/wwdc) now through Monday, April 7 at 10:00 a.m. PDT, and tickets will be issued to attendees through random selection. Developers will know their status by Monday, April 7 at 5:00 p.m. PDT. There will also be 200 Student Scholarships available, giving students around the world the chance to earn a free ticket (developer.apple.com/wwdc/students). This year the National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) and its alliance partners will help promote scholarships to female engineers and coders.

- the latest innovations, features and capabilities of iOS and OS X, and how to enhance an app’s functionality, performance, quality and design;
- the opportunity to connect with thousands of fellow iOS and OS X developers from around the world—last year more than 60 countries were represented;
- a new series of get togethers for attendees focused on particular topics with special guest speakers and activities;
- engaging and inspirational lunchtime sessions with leading minds and influencers from the worlds of technology, science and entertainment; and
- Apple Design Awards which recognize iPhone®, iPad® and Mac apps that demonstrate technical excellence, innovation and outstanding design.
Monday’s State of the Union session and the Apple Design Awards will be live streamed via the WWDC website giving more developers around the world access to the latest information in real time.
